Sheri's assistant - Theresa - turns out to be very nice and sharp. She brought the restuffed cushions as promised. I was expecting an improvement. Maybe so you wouldn't sink so far down and could sit longer without being uncomfortable. And maybe so you could get up without having to dig yourself out.

I not only got improvement - I got perfect. Better than I could have possibly imagined. I think it's going to cost me about $500 and it will be worth every single last penny. The piece looks better but man o manachevitz - does it ever sit better! I can perch on the end! Just sit down, fix my shoe or whatever and get right back up - no big deal at all. No more digging out.

It's wonderful.

It's a signal of some kind when you go to get your iron and can't find it. And there aren't that many places it can hide. I finally tracked it down and was able to iron the creases out of the paper hankies.

It was a true HGTV moment. I realized that I did not have any cocktail napkins for Kieran and Alan tonight - not even anything close. I'm not getting into the car to go find some. Just then the CPA called to say my tax return was ready for pick up. Just across the street from the CPA (who is two blocks from here) is a deli/card shop. I went in to see if they had accidentally stocked any napkins. Nope. But they have those cute little designer paper hankies. So I bought a pack and brought 'em home and ironed 'em into cocktail napkins!

I'm very proud.

My tax return cost me $500. It cost me $600 last year so I guess I got a deal. It seems pretty darned expensive to me but then just reading the damn thing gives me a headache. At least I didn't have to create it. And it's done. I grateful.

This continues to just be a darned good day and I've got friends coming over and dinner at my favorite restaurant. Whew!

Ready...

Hmmm. As much as I hate doing taxes, maybe it's time for me to reconsider doing them. Nah, none of my clients had returns more complex than 1040A's and there's no dough there.

I hope that you and the guys have a great time. You did Carol Duvall proud, I'm sure!

Whew, your social calendar is full!!

When I had my job interview they asked me what days I wanted to work. They said they wanted it to fit in with our 'social life'. I just looked at them and snorted.

I'm pretty jazzed about this tax year. It'll be the first time we're home owners with a huge deduction. Pitiful huh.
I can't believe you ironed paper napkins. That amuses me.
