My housecleaner is from Bosnia. She has a very thick accent and trouble finding English words a lot of the time. But, she has no lack of enthusiasm about anything and everything. When she got here this morning, she spied the new TV and was ooooh and awwwing all over it. She kept saying "It biiiig very biiiig." I told her, "you know what we call that in English?" "No, what?" I said, enunciating so she could get it "One Big MotherFucker."

I'm not sure I've seen anyone laugh so hard. I thought I was going to have to do CPR.

I asked her if she wanted the old one and her eyes got really big and she allowed as how she'd be thrilled. The she said "What do you call that in English?" And I told her "One not as big MotherFucker." Laugh laugh laugh. Seriously, it was just joyful to hear.

I did end up making a Costco/fitness run. I parked as far away from the front door as possible. Turns out there was hardly anyone there, so then I did aisle by aisle, most at a pretty good clip. Ended up doing a mile and a half. Not too shabby!

I got pork and beef and came home and cut it into dinner sized pieces, wrapped it all and stuck it in the freezer. 25 dinners. $60 Not too bad!

Except. I forgot to get the car washed. I forgot crackers and I forgot chips. I'm an idiot.

Sure except I rarely use recipes or even cook very often. I'm a meat and potatoes girl. I just stick it in the oven and come back in 30 mins to eat.

Being old and forgetful, I never go shopping without a list these days and Google assistant does a great job of that.

I don't know if your Costco is the same as our BJ's, but we have an actual butcher counter for the meat department. If you have an actual butcher, I bet they would cut the meat to your specifications for you, at no extra charge. And I bet they'd be thrilled to do it for you. My store's butcher always loves when I ask for something specific so they get to do something other than the same old packaging of the same old styrofoam whatever.

The store has butchers but I don''t think they are the 'cut it to specifications' kind ... however, I've never asked so next time I will!
