The weather for the game was perfect. Just exactly perfect. We scored what turned out to be the only run of the entire game in the 3rd inning. It was a very fun game. We were surrounded by Boston Fans - really really nice Boston fans. When they first sat down and we all declared sides, one of the Boston guys said "well, if it gets tense in this section we can just all chant "Yankees Suck!" Everyone laughed and agreed. It was very congenial.

No one left the game early so after the final out, there was a mob scene in the hot sun and it was starting to bake. Happily, before I left and while it was still cool I closed the insulated blinds and turned the A/C on 74% and when I got home all was calm and cool.

The next 5 days are going to be air conditioning requiring days. Glad I'm ready.

I think I'll go listen to my audio book while I play some mindless games.

You're the one I talked to about those portable air conditioners, right? GF encountered one in use the other day and discovered that they blow out a lot of hot air in the backside, and thus the room has to be plenty ventilated. Is that so, and does the hot air output affect the room temp all that much?

All of the portable air conditioners I know about have one or more hoses that must be set to send air to the outside (through a door or window).
