Today is a bit of a mish mash. I swam and it was nice and then I got breakfast at a place I had not been to in a while. It was ok but I now remember why I haven't been there in a while.

I passed a garden shop on the way and it reminded me that I wanted chives. So I went in and bought some, After I left I remembered I was out of potting soil. Another stop. Then a few groceries. And now I'm home.

I need to put the chives in a pot. And put the rest of the groceries away. I have a pattern put together and some fabric out so I think I'll just cut that out and get ready for sewing. And then I'm not sure what.

I watched the first ot the 3 Very English Scandal episodes on Amazon and I think I'll maybe just finish that up. Maybe. I'm not terribly inspired. I kind of feel like I should take better advantage of these last few not-hot days. But there's the not inspired thing.

We’re in the middle of the heat wave, and I can’t move. I cannot do anything (but read by a stream of conditioned air).

I think A Very English Scandal would have more meaning if a deeper understanding of UK politics is known. Jeremy Thorpe was a very respected politician before all this blew up in an era when 'this sort of thing' wasn't discussed in families, if it was understood at all. It certainly wasn't talked about in my family. As an aside, I think Hugh Grant is a fantastic actor and is hugely underrated as a serious actor
