Weather...

I get unreasonably snarky with people about weather.

When it's uncomfortably hot and the sun is frying the world, invariably I will run into a half dozen people during the day who will say 'isn't this weather just wonderful???' I want to smack every one of them.

When the snow that the weather assholes promise doesn't come, I'm so not interested in a conversation about how we dodged a bullet.

I like the rain. I like the gray. I like the non-hot. If I didn't, I would move somewhere else.

Today, I got an email from someone asking about the origins of one of the pictures on my puzzle page. It was someone I'd never heard from before and don't know anything about but I love the sentence that ended the note:

Hope your weather is as it should be.

Heh, I know what you mean about the snow. Everyone kept saying last week that they hoped it didn't snow. I kept saying last week that I hoped it snowed enough for sledding. Alas they won, not me.

I think everywhere on the east coast got snow but us. No fair!
