I just gave Sheri the thumbs up on the new fridge, the new dishwasher, the new stovetop, the new microwave, the new blinds and the very cool thing she found to make my coffee table double as a dining table...

The total including tax and installation (of blinds and coffee table thing) is under $5,000 which makes me very happy.

And this coffee table thing is amazing. Who knew you could buy just the mechanism?!

With the high end appliances, that seems really reasonable to me.

Where are the before pictures? I am so glad you are redecorating for my personal entertainment. I have missed the drama of deco!!

Our coffee table does that very same thing with a little krank hidden. It has a tile top so its spill-proof and is surrounded by a wooden frame with a slightly indented shelf underneath to make leg-room. It's great for drinking and eating in front of the TV. Our whole table cost the equivalent of $100 which was even cooler.
