susandennis | Finally Eggscellent...

The Blue Angels are flying overhead. It's still cool enough to have the door open but it feels like those jerks are going to fly right into this room. They had better not. They will be gone after Sunday which, frankly, can't come soon enough. I hate to bitch about noise but I hate the damn Blue Angels for lots of other reasons, too. (Well, mainly that they are such a giant waste of my tax money.)

Anyway... 14 eggs later, I finally have a success.

Glad I went with 18 eggs at Grocery Outlet earlier this week.

My egg bite molds from Amazon arrived and I cracked open all the eggs left except 4. I figured if yet another fail, I'd at least have breakfast for Saturday and Sunday.

I filled them with eggs, cheese, cream and bacon bits. Steamed them for 8 and let them rest for 8 then let out the steam and rescued them. PERFECTION! I need to fill them not quite as full next time but otherwise perfect. They popped right out of the mold without a problem. I put 2 in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. Breakfast is secured and I have eggs to spare.

I fixed the chair (pinned fabric over where she was scratching) and so far no more scratching. It does not look amazing but so far, she's confined herself to her scratching post. Fingers crossed.

I got all the laundry done. Yeah!!

I'm ready for the game but still have 2.5 hours before time to leave.
