My friend ossie has the most thoughtful entry today about LJ commenting. I'm pretty sure I could not say it any better so I'm not going to try since his entry is, thankfully, not locked down. (crabby on/I do respect everyone's right to share or not share with whomever they please but I do get so frustrated with locked entries - particularly when someone on my friend's list links to one of their friends with a cryptic comment and I am forced to remain clueless./crabby off)

I had a great evening last night. Susan's daughter was there and my friend Kenny and Susan and her boyfriend, Bill, who turned out to be very nice. It was just a nice, comfortable evening of laughs and good food and as much wine as I wanted since I had Kenny for my chauffeur.

Yesterday afternoon I watched my Netflix of Rent. Thumbs way down. I didn't last 20 minutes. Tivo had snagged House of Spirits from Encore. I figure I'd give it 20 minutes before I deleted it and got totally sucked in. I don't ever remember hearing about that movie which considering the number of giant acting names in it, is surprising. It is not out on DVD which is kind of curious to me.

Today's Netflix if Proof. We'll see.

I have about 30 minutes of work to do today for my Challenging Client. I'm not that interested and tomorrow would probably work fine for doing it but I think I'll just do it and get it over with.

The knuckles on the top of my left hand are turning into a Medical Incredible... Two days ago, I scraped the skin off one bump leading to my ring finger. I have no idea how. None. But I saw it right after it happened. I was sitting here at the keyboard. It was strange. It scabbed over during the day. Yesterday I developed what looks like a mild burn on the bump over my middle finger. No clue how that happened. It's one of those very mild burns that will not even develop much of a blister but hurts when I accidentally bump it on something. Today there is an even less significant something on bump leading to my pinky finger... Again, no clue how it got there.

And now my left hand kind of looks like I punched out somebody. I have no idea who. Weird.

Ok, I just hit Post in the middle of a sentence and had to come back via edit. But, I guess it's time to end this entry, get the work work done and then get on with the day...

I never heard of House of Spirits either but it looks good and is now on my saved list.

I was actually thinking about you as I got sucked into the movie... thinking that it would be one you would like... the world or what drives DVD creating of some movies and not others is a mystery to me - hope they do this one soon so you cna see it!

I agree with your 'crabby on': Almost all of my posts are public --- the only ones that aren't, are private posts between me and kyrielle which are quite rare. I don't know how to solve it --- having LJ pass friendship along one or two levels probably isn't a good idea --- but I wish there were some way around this....
