Sound check

The construction cranes in Seattle are plentiful and sprinkled across town. Their operators are on strike. So construction is having a bit of an interuptus. But, you know what else is adversely affected?

The Ed Sheeran concert. Yep. They were supposed to have their sound check yesterday but it got delayed because they couldn't get the stage up because no cranes. Then it got postponed and then it got moved to today. And it's not much of a sound check. I wonder what is going to be the actual impact on the concert.

Fun stuff when you have sports stadiums (stadia?) as neighbors.

I had a cream cheese and olive sandwich for lunch and it was so good. I grew up on them and I haven't had one in a long time. I finally remembered to get the right kind of olives (the cheap ones in a can - pitted no pimento) and OMG. So delicious. Olives, cream cheese and mayo all mixed up. I have enough for sandwich #2 in the fridge. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe dinner!

I got a new water flosser this week. It's has more water pressure than my old one and I'm now obsessed with water flossing my teeth every time I eat. Probably not a bad thing.

Olives with cream cheese never occurred to me, but it sounds good.

Have you ever tried Arla herbs and spices cream cheese? Safeway lured me in with an extreme deal on an 8 oz tub of it a year or so ago and I've been hooked ever since. The flavor of it on a toasted bagel reminds me very much of a cheese-onion bread we used to get in the Danish-themed tourist town of Solvang in Santa Barbara County, which we used to visit now and then when I was a kid.

I have not but I just googled it and now I know what it looks like and so... will, indeed, give it a try. I just put it on the list under the eggs that were on the list this morning - that I checked in the store and STILL forgot to get DOH.

I've never had olives and cream cheese, but grew up putting sliced green olives in grilled cheese sandwiches. Heavenly!

Poor Ed Sheeran.

He is such a funny man. His songs are all fun and sexy, and then I see videos of him and I’m like “THIS guy? Really?”
He doesn’t look like he can possibly live the life he sings about.

I have a water flosser, but have never gotten beyond squirting myself in the face whenever I turn it on.

I nearly drowned myself when I first started using mine. But, I finally got it. This one has one mean trick. It starts squirting the minute you turn it on. The button, on this one, is a pause button.

My other one was one where you turned it on and then you pushed the button to get the water squirting. So now I'm back to squirting myself in the face. But I can learn. I will have it down by Tuesday.
