Mom continues to do great. Yesterday, she decided she didn't need the night sitter so she went to Barry (the acting head of her section) and told him what she wanted and he said ok and bam, no night sitter! She didn't even ask me or Polly. Today her 16 year old granddaughter (oldest of my sister's three) sent her an email asking questions for a school project. Specifics on what life was like when Mom was young. She is so thrilled to be asked and she's hard at work on the answers.

Plus, Polly just called to say that they went to the doctor today and he allowed as how Mom is stealing lives from somebody. She's already blown through the 9 that most cats get and is currently about to finish up about 9 more. He told her she could do whatever she wanted to do. Polly said she was really 'on' in the doctor's office and had everyone in stitches.

Tomorrow is the first Spring Training game for the Mariners - well, the first radio broadcast of a a game. The first is always such a treat. I'm quite jazzed. Noon.

Work has been busy this morning but I'm in a lull before the 'we have to get this done by EOD'! The End of Day is defined by various clients... I have one who I'm pretty sure means 'midnight or whenever'. I have another one who means 5 p.m. sharp. Another one means probably before 7ish. But generally one or more of them get all lathered up between 3 and 4 with some kind of faux emergency.

Well, turns out they are lathering early. I started this entry a few hours ago. I think I'll post before it gets any older.

My grandfather pulled a similar stunt for quite a long time. His doctors were very confused about why he was alive, since as far as they could tell, all the veins and arteries leading to and from his heart were completely blocked. Yet he continued to be up and about and play golf just about every day. (Then there's my mother (his daughter) who was lying in bed after giving birth to my brother, and a nurse came in to check her vitals while Mom was boredly watching TV. The nurse searched and searched, but couldn't find a pulse. "I'm pretty sure you're alive ...".)

Human physiology is strange.
