I really need a nice looking scratching post for Zoey for in the living room. Every time I go to find one, I never find the perfect one and end up getting something else so that then I still need a scratching post.

It happened again today. I found this one which is very close to good enough.

But, no. I got this instead.

She rarely warms up to things immediately. She sniffed around it and climbed in but lost interest. It may take her a while or she may never like it.

But, meanwhile the thing looked pretty bare so I jazzed it up.

I knew I'd find a good use for that goofy cat fabric I got at Goodwill.

I blew $15 on the couch at Petco. I decided to go pick it up at the store. It was the same price as on Amazon. Petco is right next door to Whole Foods so I went in. I keep trying to like Whole Foods and I keep failing. Gluten free rangey vegan food just does not appeal to me. At all. I did get some good tomatoes. Not great but good. And some potato salad but that was all I could find that even looked interesting.

Oh well, I'll try again in a year. They are opening one across the street from the pool next year. Maybe then.

I got all my chores done and then some. So now, I'm going to settle in, try to see if I can crochet and not break my arm and watch some TV.

Hahaha! That couch! Her very own.

Whole Foods is overrated. Though their body shop is one of my happy places.

The little quilt and cushions make it adorable!

Oddly I am just looking at a programme on TV about gluten free and dairy free foods - and showing that they are certainly not Whole Foods! For example gluten-free bread has higher sugar and fat content to make it anything like bread and dairy-free almost always means close to iodine-free as well. So I think I would happily just shop in normal food stores :)

Well, to be fair, Whole Foods (at least the one local to me) has plenty of not-gluten-free, not-dairy-free products, and knocking them because they try to provide same for people who want or need them seems a bit unfair. There are plenty of other reasons to knock them if you're so inclined (high prices being the leader by several lengths).

I honestly wouldn't know - I was not knocking the chain of stores as we do not have them here on my tiny island just off Europe!

But in our bigger neighbours, mainly England, there is a real fad for people who don't need them to choose gluten-free especially as they think, wrongly, that there must be some health benefit for everyone whereas, of course, although they are a life-saver for those with coeliac disease, they are certainly not healthier in general.

We've got one very similar to the top one and the cats knock it over jumping up on it

The best WholeFoods I've ever been in was in South Kensington, London. They had a huge seating area and an enormous range of hot and cold prepared foods to choose from and eat there if you wanted to.

We rarely shop at our local WholeFoods because the prices seem high.

My favorite thing about Whole Foods is the prepared foods section.

Have you seen this cat furniture? https://www.catastrophicreations.com/ We are about to buy some stuff from there to make a cat wall in our living room.

Oh, crazy about the WF being terrible for prepared foods. Ours has this massive section with several buffets of various hot and cold foods, salad bar, plus a pizza bar, a sushi bar, a grill, a sandwich bar...I think I'm missing some. I rarely grocery shop there but I stop in for prepared foods a lot. LOL.

Put a heating pad under the cushion. Trust me.

I like WF rotisserie chicken. Before they were bought by Amazon they gave you a punch card and you got a free chicken when it was filled up. Not so much, anymore.
