Different morning

I got up as usual and swam and came home and had coffee and interneted. I didn't feel great. Just off. So I laid down on the bed and went to sleep. For two and a half hours.

Normally I hate day sleeping. I resent the time it takes and I hate the groggy feeling when I wake up. Today, I was fine with it and felt much better when I woke up. Weird. But fine.

Today's different anway. It's my last Diamond Club Mariner game. Their past few games have run really late so maybe having some extra sleep will help. I already decided that if, when the alarm goes off in the morning, I don't want to get up to swim that I won't. It won't kill me to miss a day. I don't think.

I did not watch the Senate hearing today. I watched every minute of Anita Hill's testimony and the aftermath and still cannot believe that asshole has been taking up one of the few and precious chairs of the Supreme Court. I just can't bear to watch it happen again. I didn't ignore it, I just didn't watch it.

I've got no big plans for this afternoon. My scooter is charged up and ready. My Mariner shirt is ironed and ready. My game bag is in the scooter basket.

I did do a lot of crocheting last night. I think maybe a little too much. The weight of the vest and the lack of give of the yarn, I think, is what's hurting my arm. I'll be really glad when this sucker is done. But, I think, from here on out, I'll limit my crochet time to an hour a day max.

Maybe I'll just watch some TV.

I was glad to have a busy work day so I could avoid the whole thing. I didn’t watch much of Anita Hill’s testimony either, but I remember how disgusted I was at the outcome. I’m still trying to recover from yesterday’s madhouse that was the UN. Maybe it didn’t take up your airwaves as much as it did here, but let’s just say your president didn’t make any friends in Canada. It is very weird when third countries start sticking up for your foreign minister!
