I finished my yellow jacket.



I may make the sleeves shorter but overall, I'm thinking this will get a lot of wear. On the one hand, it's going to pick up dirt like crazy, I'm afraid. On the other hand, I will not get lost in a crowd. It's in the washer right now.

And then I finished my crochet vest.



I just wore it out on my walk and it needs a button but otherwise, was pretty good - it's nice and warm.

Speaking of warm, I see where Calgary got snow. And so beginnith my annual Snow Envy. Maybe I should just move to Calgary. Wonder what their summers are like. hmmmmm I always had Chicago as my fallback if Seattle kicked me out. But their summers are brutal.

Ohhh Google says that Calgary has wonderful summer weather. Ok, resetting the list. Calgary is on top now.

I just checked their swimming pool situation and it's good. There's even a train from here to there. Maybe a little winter trip is in order. hmmmmmm

Well, that turned out to be a bit of a rabbit hole.

I did do my after lunch walk today. It takes 3 weeks to make a habit? Ok, so I've got 19 days left. ugh.

Oh and they came and checked my terrace. They were just sure that the leak downstairs was coming from my drain. So they filled up the drain with water. Now they have a new problem. My drain doesn't drain. I'm pretty much convinced that I will not live to see the resolution of the terrace issues. I'm ok with that. Whoever has to sell this place after I die will have a problem but I'll be dead. Oh, wait, what happens if I move to Calgary? oh crap.

In Dec. 2017 we moved from Beautiful B.C. to the Calgary area of Alberta. The summer weather here can be brutally hot. The sun is not filtered, as in Seattle or Vancouver, Canada. There can be beautiful, comfortable days, here and there, but I characterise this climate as very harsh.

Oh! A harsh summer is absolutely NOT my cuppa. Less sun, not more. I can deal with harsh winter - I spent two of them in the wilds of Minnesota but harsh summer, NFW. Thanks so much for the reality check.
