Monday and Tuesday (and Saturday and Sunday for that matter) saw substantial crowds at the pool. Today it was just me for most of my swim. So weird how the population changes so drastically. I'm often asked which day is the best/worst in terms of getting a lane. My answer always has to be the lamest - no way of telling.

Clearly my degenerative lung disease is degenerating. First thing in the morning, particularly, my ability to breathe easily is worse now than it was a few months ago. It could be (and likely will be) way worse but still kind of sobering to face. For now I can use the inhalers I have on hand to get me through the day which is great. As long as I don't have to go back on that horrible steroid inhaler, I'll be happy.

I have lots of sewing on my todo list all of a sudden. I have some simple mending that's just waiting for the serger to get dark colored thread in it. I have a pair of pants to assemble (also needing dark serger thread). And then there is that new top pattern I found yesterday and I need a light weight sweater. I have everything I need to finish all of this. I just need to get to it. Today seems good.

I do need to go to Costco but it does not need to be today. I could also use a Grocery Outlet run. But again, not necessarily today. I'm trying to clean out the freezer and the best way to do that is stay out of food stores.

That said, I'm giving serious thought to going to 13 Coins for dinner tonight. It's beef stroganoff night and it's been a while since I've had any so... maybe.

It's deliciously chilly in here today.

Regarding crowded pools, it's the same here, Sandy. And I will go at all kinds of hours. There are Aqua classes three days a week so I work around those times. I've always thought Sunday morning around 8 AM was the best but last Sunday- two to a lane! Other Sunday mornings I'm the only one. Seems mid-afternoon is my best shot. Maybe others do exactly what I do, check out the pool at different times of the day. At least those who are not working.

I do REALLY like the lane to myself, though. I've also found most people swim 1/2 hour and I do 50 minutes so I can usually hop over to another lane as it becomes available.

In our next life ...

Do you think the shift to colder temps is part of the breathing shift?
