Today is house cleaner day. And, also, I have a brunch date at a new (to me) place with my friend, Barrie.

But first, tires. The check engine light has not come back on yet so yeah! But the tire light persists. So on my way to meet Barrie, I'm going to stop in at the tire place and let them check all and fill up to the appropriate levels. If the light does not go away, I'm going for the black tape fix.

The thread I ordered to make my raincoat is finally coming tomorrow. It was supposed to be here last week but got lost. Apparently it found a map and is now truly on the way. And I can get the coat going before the monsoons. Or, since it's Seattle, the drizzles.

It is getting chilly. Last night I was surprised how chilly it got right here in the living room. But sleeping is heaven. It took me about a half a second to fall asleep last night. I woke up once at 3 and rolled over until the light came on at 4:30. Delicious.

I have a knitting project on big, bulky yarn that is killing my arm and shoulder. I'm about at the end. I think I'll get it finished tonight and then, that's it. I don't care what is hot or in vogue or the hipster knitting choice - it's small yarns from now on for this old lady. And small yarns with elasticity. No all cotton which has zero give. Also an arm killer. Not a big deal really. I don't really knit or crochet for the end product but more for the process. I can sew better socks and sweaters and afghans than I can knit or crochet anyway.

My cat has too many cat beds - even just in this room. I've been waiting for her to get back on her couch when I'm in my chair so I could test the new phone. But she's been in the computer bed on top of the cupboard or in her snuggle bed under the table next to this chair or on the ottoman that she thinks is hers... finally, this morning, she got around to the sofa again. The two pictures below were taken about the same time of day and with the phone camera at maximum zoom. Interesting.
