30 mins and counting

susandennisI've been on hold now with Sharper Image for 30 minutes now - 31.40 according to my phone. At least I didn't have to punch anything to get onto hold. Ya dial and usually they pick up but not today. Today I am on hold. and now it's kind of like a game to see who will last longer. They have not told me that my call is important to them and they have a very soft piano concerto in the background. There is a bitch who comes one every 15 minutes and explains they are busy and asks me to hold. I could use her less often.
But, I'm good for now. I'll give 'em another 30 and then call back tomorrow. When I returned latest broken Roomba, they issued me a Merchandise Certificate - which is NOT redeemable for cash. I was told that I could call them and they would apply the amount to my credit card. I finally go the damn thing today. I have this very nagging feeling that they are going to tell me that I misunderstood and that the only thing I can use this $333.91 for is to buy more of their stuff. Thus will start the Battle Royal.
So for now, I am on hold.
It has been a very slow work day. Very slow. I hope things pick up before I go nuts. At least the house is clean and the laundry is done.

Ok, I got busy doing something else. At 45 mins and change, I got Chris who basically read off the notes under my order and did, in fact, read that the agreement was to credit my credit card. I think I'm good. I won't be 100% sure, of course, until I see the credit but I'm, at least, hopeful...
