I'm afraid that I have started a free fall into a hole that I will not be able to climb out of. Someone on instagram showed a photo of a Christmas present - Miniature House Kit. I did not even know these things existed. They not only exist, they are not exorbitant and there are a ton of them.

This is the one I ordered - aka the first hit on the crack pipe.



It will arrive tonight. So there are still several hours left of my Life Before.

I have been eyeballing a greenhouse one for ages.... but I haven't taken the plunge and ordered it. It'll be a time commitment for sure if I do get it someday.

Those are sooo cute! I was tempted until I read you have to make everything, and it isn't just little miniature pieces to glue in. Drawing a straight line is tricksy enough. Cutting out so many small things to assemble is beyond me. I'm looking forward to seeing yours though!

That seems unlikely, but if it does ever get to be too much I'm awesome at selective reading.

Hopefully you get the English version of the instructions and not the random Chinese ones some seem to have got. Though if you do get the Chinese ones I will look even more forward to what comes of your assembling efforts. As well as to learning some new to me swear words.

I love the blue tones in it. Think it’s called “Blue Time”. Although who would want a bathroom with glasses walls is beyond me. This one has to have hundreds of pieces as well. The fact that it has a tiny light in each room blows me away. I got it today. I don’t even know where to start. Lol

TIP #1

Get a bottle of regular cheap white glue. The little bottle they give you doesn't last long.

Get toothpicks.

I've been pouring a little blob of glue onto a napkin and then applying it with toothpicks - works great.

OooooHhhh!!! That’s the same company I bought, the bookstore one, to fill in my birdcage! It was SO much fun! You’re going to love it.

I want another—I like the greenhouse one in particular. But they are all so tempting. You really will love it, it was pretty easy but still attention-consuming in a satisfying way.
