Football Sunday

My brother made us a fabulous breakfast and then he settled into the football game and I went to the gym. It was a weird time of day for me to swim but it did feel good.

Back home, I watched the second game with him. We went to FOB Poke for dinner. It was a good good day.

Oh and he was asking me about my smart watch. It's a Garmin Vivoactive. It does a lot of things. He's always said no way would he wear a watch again but after watching how mine works, he was interested. I remembered that I had a spare! The one that Amazon told me to keep after UPS screwed up the return. I'm delighted I had it and remembered. Now he's deep in the Which Watch Face weeds.

Just last week I started a class for water aerobics that's being held at our university's rec center. It's the best exercise I could come up with considering my bad knees. I'm also planning on getting back with my water-walking on the weekends.

Steak is one of my favorite foods!

That's how I got started! water aerobics. I did it for years and then switched to lap swimming. I'll go back to swimming every day after my brother's visit ends tomorrow.

You're lucky. It sounds as though the two of you are having a good visit with each other.
There are many people who either do not have a sibling or they aren't on speaking terms with them.
I only have a few cousins on my mom's side of the family.

I have two siblings. One lives 3 hours from here and I have not had any contact with her in more than a decade (my choice). And then my brother. He lives in Texas but comes to visit once or twice a year. I am very very lucky to have him!

It will probably not surprise you that we were more interested in the first game than the second one, although to a neutral fan I imagine the second one was the more interesting one. (We didn't care enough to watch the Eagles-Saints game, and anyway unzeugmatic came back from his singing weekend earlier than expected and we went out to dinner with him.)

Well, I will have to commiserate with, rather than congratulate, my brother for that one.

oh! I'd have loved to have been the salt shaker on that dinner table! I miss reading unzeugmatic.

You would have had even more fun on Thursday night when we also had bitty, bubblebabble, and Tim P. (who seems to have deleted his LJ account), although I'm not sure if you know any of those people.

Oh, and no salt shaker on Sunday -- Korean restaurant, I can't imagine anyone wanting to add salt.
