It was such fun

As I type this, I'm at home in my living room and my brother is at Gate 12 at Seatac.

I enjoyed his visit so much. He's such fun, interesting, easy company. And so much good food! Last night was high end Italian at Il Terrazzo Carmine. I love an excuse to try out new places and revisit old. Yum.

Today is laundry. And stuff. I will turn the guest room back into the sewing room. And take a couple of loads down to the dumpsters and generally tidy up. The house cleaner comes tomorrow. Also I need to get out my miniature stuff and get that ready to work on.

Text just told me he's all boarded and ready to go and has a row to himself. Nice.

I also need to pay bills and catch up with my financial guy to see which of us is on the hook for my long term insurance premium this year.

I now have a healthy stash of junk TV piled up on Tivo and my crochet project to get back to.

It was a great visit and, this year, it's only 2 months til the next one. He is coming back in March for my 70th birthday!

It was neat to see you guys visiting on your camera. I guess I didn’t realize you had sound...maybe that is a new(ish) thing or maybe it’s a side effect of me upgrading my phone. But I heard you guys talking one night and it was so weird, I muted you. Spying on you via the web seems cozy, but for some reason hearing you made me feel like a creepy stalker.

So here I am, confessing...I am a voyeur. I enjoyed your brother’s visit too, but with the sound off. 🤣

ahhhh thank you. i generally keep the sound off but i had to reinstall the camera the other day and that changed all the settings and i forgot to turn the sound off. just did.

that's so fun that you dropped in! i'm glad you did and enjoyed it and especially glad you mentioned the sound. it's not terrible to keep it on but my tongue could actually cause trouble!

Ha, I don’t know why but I’m relieved. The sound was disconcerting. I like to peek in just for a few seconds now and then to make sure you’re there...it’s comforting, to see your cheery place in all its colors, you knitting or watching a game. When you’re on your computer I always think “maybe she’s writing or reading livejournal RIGHT NOW!” and that makes me smile.
