I have abandoned my miniature room. I successfully wired the chandelier and made it so it would turn on and off with the switch. And saw that I could complete the remainder but it would look like a sloppy mess due to earlier bad decisions/craftsmanship so I decided that putting any more time and effort into it would be wasteful. I learned a lot and will just call it Miniature Collage.

[livejournal.com profile] ext_4192563 got a different miniature room kit and, after giving it a start, decided she really wasn't into it and asked if I wanted her kit. YES!! She kindly sent it to me and it is one I had looked at and almost bought. It's waiting now for the smarter me.

I'm going to wait to start it up though. I want to do some sewing first.

A while ago I thought 'oh shit, I forgot to get something out of the freezer for dinner. pasta again, I guess.' And then, to might delight, remembered the pizza!

It looks beautiful! I'd rent it in a minute.

You should post it on Craigslist.

In San Francisco I am certain you could get $2,000 a month for it.

For me it was the lighting where I botched it. But then, I didn’t make the actual room, I just put all the furniture in my birdcage.

Maybe you can use the furniture and things you made in your new little room, just to mix things up.

Have fun with my dream house! Can’t wait to see the ongoing progress.

After I thought about it. I realized what I REALLY wanted was a house just like that to actually LIVE in. Not one to make myself. I’ll wait til an architect comes up with the real version. Will have to talk to him or her about that bathroom though!

I keep seeing more little details, like the slippers. I'm absolutely hopeless at precision stuff like this, which is why I'm a terrible sewer, but I can't wait to see what you produce!

BTW I started Brokenwood Mysteries again tonight and enjoyed it a lot more than I did the first time, so thanks for reminding me about it! In typical NZ fashion, where everyone is only two degrees away from everyone else, one of the writers is my hairdresser's brother-in-law:).

What a fabulous little studio apartment. If it was full sized, it would be snapped up quickly.

I'd not heard of miniature rooms before - I mean I've seen dollhouses that people build and furnish, but never these. You must have a lot of patience and ability to do fiddly things - two things I lack sadly.
