susandennisMy brother arrived and we had a nice visit and then went back to Bateau for dinner. It's a luxury and so worth it. Delicious beef, fabulous service and just a lovely experience all round.
This morning we got up and after coffee and internetting, walked up the street for breakfast at Planet Java Diner. Then we went on to the middle of town to pick up the rental car. It's lovely with all kinds of bells and whistles and is gynormous. Fortunately, Bill's doing all the driving.
By the time we got back home, it was time to head to the airport. We scooped up Matt (Bill's youngest son) and his wife Cyndi. They are a wonderful couple who are interesting and interested and just plain fun to be around. We visited here then went back and had drinks at their hotel (2 blocks from here) before heading out for dinner at Jack's bbq. Jack's bbq ribs were fine. The rest of the food was meh and/or too whatever. But, the service was spectacular and that kind of saved the experience.
Tomorrow's plans are breakfast at 13 Coins and then a drive around town before we dump the rental car, walk back here and then go on to the ball game about 1:30.
Fun. Just not enough time for proper reporting!
