She's not dead yet
Mar. 16th, 2006 07:37 amI woke up at 4:30 wondering and finally got up at 5:30 and called the ICU. When I told the woman who answered the phone that I wanted to find out how my mother was, she asked me Mom's name and told me to hold for Karen. I figured Karen was The Person In Charge Of Giving You The Bad News. But, Karen came on and told me that Mom was being moved out of ICU today into a regular room.
But, she did say Mom was really confused and kept asking over and over again where she was and why she was there. She is apparently breathing a little better. It is good that Nancy (sister) is going and it does appear likely that Mom will still be hanging in when she gets there. And I really think Polly is relieved. She's picking her up at the airport tonight.
Meanwhile my Treo phone has developed a bit of an issue. The touch screen is responding to my touch but not with what I want. It may well be time to upgrade to a 650. I'm pretty sure I don't want the 700 so there's really no reason to wait except for the $$ and the hassle.
I need to handle Challenging Clients stuff this morning and get him off my back.
And the latest Sue Grafton book is waiting for me at the library.
Time to get this day going.
