Dear Susan, I know you will have many mixed emotions in the next few days and weeks. Take joy that she went peacefully, that she had a good and happy life, that your family has been working together, that Ms. Polly has made her life and yours much richer, and that you can find comfort in no regrets over her care and honoring her wishes. You are a model daughter. You have so much of your mother (and father) that will be part of your life and you are truly blessed.
May you find joy and peace to carry you through and onward.
Oh, Susan. My deepest sympathies. I loved hearing your mother in your entries - in the strangest way, for someone I never met, she truly brightened up my days, as do you.
