susandennis | ahhhhhh silence

My next door neighbor has been playing music all day and I'm sure it's lovely music but I can clearly hear the base thumping, thumping, thumping, thumping - solidly since about 9 am (it's now 1:30). It's making me crazy. I'm not ready for TV quite yet but I may start watching early just to drowned out the thumping.

It's really loud back by the sewing machine where I have been all day. I finished up my hoodie. I'll go back there and clean up later but I had to get away from the thump. (I did send him an email a few minutes ago asking him if he could maybe move his speakers away from my wall.)

I'm kind of thrilled with how my little scrap basket hoodie turned out. It's exactly what I wanted... an easy to wear while sitting, warm but easy to carry when not wearing with big deep pockets for phone, tissue, treats...

I thought I was making compromises because the scraps I had weren't big enough. I thought the red would have been better on top. I thought the pockets should have been deeper. I thought two different Mariner prints wold be too weird. But, I didn't really have a choice and now that it's done, I like it just the way it is!

Heck, I may wear this even when I'm not going to a Mariner game.

OMG, he just turned off the music or moved the speakers or something but all of a sudden the hammering has stopped!! Oh joy. Oh rapture. Whew.

Maybe I will go back and clean up my sewing mess. Maybe I'll do laundry. Maybe I'll clean the kitchen. Maybe I'll do all of that. OR... maybe none.
