The night visitor
Jun. 11th, 2019 08:49 amI woke up about 1:30 this morning and had a terrible time for the next 3 hours. I was coughing, I couldn't breathe through my nose, I couldn't get comfortable, I adjusted the bed 8 ways to Sunday, nothing helped. I felt miserable. I decided that I'd call the lung nurse practitioner for an appointment this morning. Then I decided no, I'd do the prednisone first. They tell you to only take prednisone with meals so my plan was breakfast, start the course. Fuck this. I'm too old to put up with this shit.
Finally I got up at 4:30 and went to the pool. The first few laps were a little rough but after that, smooth sailing. It was a really good swim. No coughing, no breathing problems, nose fine and not stuffed. And that's how I feel now at 8 am so no prednisone. Weird.
The sun came out very early this morning so the heat is on. Hot today, way hotter tomorrow. I learned many summers ago that if I can capture the cool in my house in the morning, I can pretty much keep it all day. So the door to the outside is shut (it's my only access to outside), the insulated shades are down and the a/c is on temp set. It will kick in if/when it gets any warmer in here. I think I'm safe.
I will be going out in it later today when my Echo Auto arrives. I will brave the heat to install and test. Oh! I just checked and delivery is 1 stop away. Cool. Maybe I can test while it is still cool!
Other than that, today will be inside. I have sewing to do and I need to find a new audio book. I started one a couple of days ago but instead of getting more interesting, it's getting annoying. So... the end.
Guess I'd better go get some clothes on and get ready for new tech!!

Date: 2019-06-11 06:14 pm (UTC)Plus, I love hearing the news on the way to and from the pool. Google's news sources are extremely limited. The only Seattle source is the Tacoma News Tribune. There is no MLB at all.
But, that's not a problem because it rarely works anyway. I get 15 seconds and then dead air. 99% of the time.
It's so frustrating.
So, deal. I will give you a full report... if I ever get it. Amazon said they were 1 stop away 3 hours ago and then changed it to "The driver has to make a few more deliveries on the way to your address" and the little dot never gets closer than 2 blocks away. GRRRRRR

Date: 2019-06-11 08:43 pm (UTC)Ha, they are teasing you. I cracked and got it, but mine will live in its box until you put yours through its paces for a bit. I hate that they gave me a time frame to order, 7 days or you're SOL. Also hate it has no reviews showing to get at least some input on it.
