bloody hell!

Yesterday, after blowing my nose all day, I had a small nose bleed. It rarely happens and this one lasted about 3 tissues worth. Tiny. Cut to today.

I was on Amazon clicking for a return. It's a 'free' return but they were telling me I had to mail it and they would then send me $3.50 for postage. The cheapest mailing was $8. WTF? So I decided to get onto chat and ask if I couldn't just drop it off at the usual place.

Zoey was wandering around and decided to walk across the keyboard while I was setting the chat up. And then I started coughing and coughing and coughing and just as I finally got the damn cat off the keyboard, the chat guy came on and I'm coughing and typing my request and all of a sudden my nose starts gushing blood and Zoey decides she's not done yet - back and forth across the keyboard - and I'm still coughing and bleeding and grabbing tissues as fast as I could. I was trying to find the hands to tell the chat guy that I had an emergency when he typed 'hold on while I check on that for you'.

Seriously, I hope someone was on the Nest cam to see that. What a 3 ring circus. Finally, the coughing just stopped which was weird. And Zoey gave up and left and then the chat guy did just what I wanted about the time the nose quit bleeding.

Whew. My blouse is now soaking in cold water. Thankfully, I didn't bleed on the furniture. Zoey got some treats and all is now fine. But it was a wild ass few minutes there.

Sure hope you aren't allergic to kitty. But I'm a huge fan of allergy shots for keeping me breathing like a human. I'm allergic to anything with 4 feet and a tail.

Have you changed her brand of litter? Could be that was on her feet as she marched across your keyboard and set off your reaction.

Does the nest camera record? Sometimes I look in on you, like when you were having the repair and painting done, but not too often. Like, I've noticed the two cameras aren't totally in sync, but I haven't watched enough to figure out which one is ahead of the other.

Neither camera records. The Nest would, if I were willing to pay for the service. But... believe it or not, there is a third camera in the living room. I know, I know. Why the hell???? whacko to the max. The third camera is a really cheap one that pans and tilts and can't be set up for outside access. BUT it does record.

It's fun to know you pop in an look! Oh the Nest is the one behind. There's a small to gigantic lag on it. The condo association has a Nest cam on the front door. One time I had visitors who were up here (4th floor slowest elevator in the world) with their coats off and in the living room. I had the front door Nest cam on and it was just then showing them at the front door!

Oh ugh that sounds annoying and scary! If you get another one of those, you might want to go to see a doctor and get that vein cauterized... I get these too from time to time and sometimes the surface of one or another nose vein simply gets too thin and continues to break and doesn't heal on its own. During allergy time, it happens to me at least once a year.

Oh nose bleeds are scary. At least for me. I don’t have them often, but when I do it creeps me out. Glad you were able to get it stopped.

Speaking of your nest cam. I haven’t been able to get it for months. All I get is a window that says “this camera is missing in action”. 😢
