The boys let me add two more rows. I think I'm probably going to go with 12 total so we're half done with the non-binding part. And I think I probably have enough fabric already cut to finish.



The flip side is the same, just different pieces. I really do like it. And I'm still debating about the edging. I'm thinking navy blue OR more patchwork. OR something else.

Somebody discovered that there is land atop the kitchen cabinets!!! Also about 27 years of dust. UGH.



When he was cabinet climbing, he was reorganzing the hall shelves.



His brother helped with the sewing.

You have a terrific eye for color! I love the bright colors as you've arranged them. I'm just going by the photo (I assume the Kelly green is a sheet on your bed). Have you considered Kelly green for the edge of the quilt?

yep the green is the sheet. i don't have any fabric that color and besides, then what would happen when i put the orange sheets on the bed? i'm not big on matchy anyway :)

They are energizer bunnies. They've been asleep here in the living room while I was finishing up a movie. I got up to pee. Just as I finished they both walked into the bathroom.

They crack me up.

I am glad, however, for a few weeks of sleeping in :)

I do have a cat bed I can put up there! I put it away but it might be just what that space needs! Thanks for the idea.

Birds...stones
Thing the first - if your quilt is rectangular, I found it real helpful to fit the long edges with a different color/pattern than the ends.
Thing the second - why the treadmill and not an exercise bike which puts your weight on your butt instead of your knees and hips?
Thing the third - love them kittens.

If the quilt problem you are trying to solve is which side is side and which is top, my quilt does that automatically since the pieces are really only long strips that only run one way (because of the piecing that's hard to tell from the photo). And since it is all different color/patterns, it would be kind of hard to differentiate that way anyway, right? Or am I missing a clue here.

Bikes and my ass have never seen eye to eye. And, the point of the whole thing is to ensure I can still walk where and how long I want. If my hips won't let me walk, then it's all moot anyway. BUT I think it's the treadmill since my hips are fine off of it. Probably it's not fast or slow enough or it's the shoes.

The kittens are seeing their first rain. It's AMAZING!!!
