The treadmill arrived and it the box was HUGE and HEAVY. They leave our packages down in the garage but the UPS guy has, recently, taken to delivering the big heavy shit right to our doors. So nice. I have no idea how I could have gotten it up here on my own.
I barely got it into my hallway.

Getting it out of the box was not easy either. Finally, I just cut the entire box open. The cats were beside themselves with excitement.

Once I got it out of the box, and separate from a crap ton of styrofoam, it got easier. It would have been way easy were it not for the carpet. I got it in the right place and set up and plugged in and... bingo! I'm in the walking biz!

It fits quite nicely at the end of my bed. It looks nice there and does not eat up the room. It's simple to operate and I think will be exactly what I wanted. Yeah!!!
The owner's manual said to fill out the online warranty thing which I normally don't do but I wanted an online copy of the serial number anyway so I did. I got a robo reply which I expected. Then about 10 minutes later, I got an email from a guy there named Jon who nicely pointed out that I'd screwed up the serial number and had guessed the correct one. He asked me to verify and I did with a photo and got a nice thank you back. Kind of cool to learn that my new treadmill has nice birth parents.
The Mariners game is midway. They were tied at one point but that didn't last long.
It took two trips to get all the packaging down to the dumpster. That box weighed as much as the treadmill. But it's all done and all the bits are vacuumed. And the kitties are passed out in exhaustion.
As soon as I sit down, I get an email from my guy in Poland. The cat tree bits are on their way!! They will be here a week from tomorrow. The same day the pool opens. Nice.
So now I think I'm done with the gym across the street. I think I'll stick to first thing after I wake up - 30 mins. I'm also going to try and keep it early which I don't suspect will be much of a problem since I have two helpers. Until I can get back to the pool. Then I'm hoping to find 30 minutes in probably spurts here and there.
Right now I'm hot and sweaty and dirty and sore and happy.

Date: 2019-08-29 02:56 pm (UTC)I had forgotten that it was a bit of a beast in the box. Totally had to do the same and cut the box around it to get it out.
Love the color you picked. Black and white looks really nice on it!

Date: 2019-08-29 03:05 pm (UTC)I also appreciate the sympathy. I kept thinking 'I wonder how she got the damn thing out???' The cutting of the box solution did not hit me until I had struggled forever.

Date: 2019-08-29 03:15 pm (UTC)It really is a fantastic thing. For the longest time we were both like... is this even for real? Will it last at all. And sure enough, still going strong. I don't always turn it off when I run to quickly use the bathroom *lol* So it gets quite a long run time some days, and still works great.
Yep. It was a pain in the ass to unbox. And like you I struggled, and tried to pull it out for the longest time first. 🤣
