My laptop is critically ill. This is my work computer. Fortunately, I did get a good bit of Challenging Guy's work done before it was stricken and fortunately, in fear that the tech guy at work would be gone if I didn't call sooner than later, I called work. I got the boss who says it sounds like harddrive or motherboard or something equally ugly. So tomorrow morning I'm meeting him at his house to pick up a replacement.

I'm trying to be grateful that he has a replacement ready... that while I would have liked to have gotten stuff done this weekend, I did - in a fit of pique - tell Challenging Guy it would take me twice as long to do his thing than it really will so even if I kill the weekend loading up a new computer, I still have time to do the work.... that another client who promised 2 rush jobs this weekend, put them off til next week.

It could be so worse. I think I'll go fire up my new stove.

Oh and thankgod I did my every-few-days backup last night... Whew.

My laptop died and was resurected like Lazurus. I had no clue it was about to go and lost all of my pictures. *sigh* Nothing too critical.
