Weekend sleep penalty?

I slept in Saturday and Sunday and so really hard a hard time sleeping last night BUT, not as hard as two kittens I know. They were busy all night long. I heard them but tried to ignore. This morning, I woke up to one lamp on the floor, the floor fan turned over, the blanket former folded nicely, now in a bunch and I'm pretty sure I haven't found all the evidence yet.

Right now, 7:45, they are somewhere in kitty comas. They need to learn to pace themselves.

It's still too warm in the house but outside it is bordering on chilly. This morning, waiting for the gym to open, it was nearly cold. It feels mighty good.

Yesterday I finished watching The Mind of Bill Gates (Netflix). It was really interesting to me - maybe more so because I worked at Microsoft when he was still there or because of the Seattle connection or maybe it's just a general interest in the people at the top of big corporations. Anyway, it was interesting and geesh is he ever looking old.

I am so ready for Fall TV. TiVo is all set up to record the shows I want. I wonder what they 'friends' in all my shows have been doing for the past few months. I'm delighted to finally find out. I do enjoy TV. A lot.

I have several small chores on tap this morning and then I think I'll make a new swim suit.

I hope my new printer gets here sooner than later. I have shit to print. I got a Cannon. I spent a lot of time last night second guessing my decision and looking at tons of other printing options. I'm still not sure. I'm so hoping this works perfectly easily out the box and I can end the torture. I have shit to print!

Yesterday was the last Sunday this year that I'll watch a baseball game. Next Sunday is the last game and I have my final Diamond Club ticket for that game. I also have a ticket to Wednesday's game. I'm ok with the season being over. Maybe next year. There is no game today.

This is the boys yesterday. I'm guessing they are currently replicating this same situation but under the bed.

I watcht the Gates show also this past weekend and was thinking of you! Have you ever been to their Discovery Center in Seattle? It's wonderfully inspiring, and encouraging to see billionaires do something so positive for society. I bet you and your sibling would thoroughly enjoy the experience.

I've been by the Discovery Center but have not been in. That's really not the part that fascinates me the most. I think it's lovely that he's using his brain for good but I saw enough of what he's doing in the film to satisfy.

All the fall shows are hitting at once this year; I don't remember that usually being the case. It's going to take us forever to catch up. Maybe it's just as well that the Red Sox didn't make postseason this year.

Last night's Sox game was over early enough for us to check out the premiere of All Rise, Our verdict is "probably not", but we're going to give it another episode, which means we're likely going to be stuck with it.

I'm so glad you said this because I was thinking the same thing. Usually there's an outlier or two who start early but not this year. I got busy last night and didn't watch anything. But, yeah, TiVo is going to need burping.

I can't imagine its ever happening but should the Mariners ever get into the post season that would fuck up my viewing considerably. So... just as well.

I've only had time so far to watch "Bull" and "NCIS," so I'm planning an evening in to do a little more catching up tonight! Oh, and I watched "FBI."

VERY happy that I made the move to a laser printer for home instead of an inkjet with perennially clogged ink cartridges. I just don't print often enough that I can keep the juices flowing on an inkjet. Luckily a friend was offering a free used low-end laser printer to anyone who'd pick it up, and I turned around and offered my inkjet to a new home.

Now, over a year later, I'm wondering if I left a photo or other random thing under the scanner cover of the old inkjet! I assume someone woulda said something...

I couldn't find the details of what the new-to-me printer was, then I realized I could look in my Print dialog box and see what printers my Mac remembers having talked to! It's an HP CP1518ni. No scanner for me, either, but I have access to one of those at work if I need it, and for a lot of situations I'd have needed a scanner for in the past, snapping a pic with my phone is "good enough."

Oh it's been years since i actually used that scanner. My phone does a much better, easier, faster job. AND I never leave the scanned object in it!
