Breaking News.... I have come to my senses.

The yarn organization project did the trick. NFW do I need to even go look at yarn. It's ridiculous. They will have more popups - there's already one announced for the end of this month. But, today? Nope.

This is my drawer of mostly unused skeins.



This is my ottoman of mostly cakes. That bag is Really cheap yarn bits I got from Amazon. I use them mainly for testing out colors in crochet squares.



And here are my current projects. Brought to you by The Smalls.



The Orange and green is a hat. The bag that his tail is on is a cardigan which may or may not get finished. And then under him, kind of peeking out is a blanket. All of them are crochet projects. Nothing currently on the knitting needles although, I am toying with the idea of getting back on that complicated pattern I learned with ugly yarn. I now have good yarn.

It feels good to have everything organized.

Organize your stuff and decide you never need to buy more. Somehow, that seems very, very wrong (says the person with an unreasonably large horde of fabric marinating until the right moment to be sewn).

It's funny, I decided I was done knitting and took a bunch of stuff to goodwill, only to turn around and decide I needed to knit on the flight to Ireland.
So off to makers it was to buy yarn, needles and 2 patterns I likely won't finish.

I have taken yarn/needles/books to Goodwill - a lot. And... then... bought yarn/needles/books at Goodwill. I really kind of consider it my rental retail location for lots of stuff.

That's a pretty reasonably sized stash by most knitters' estimations, I'd say, so congratulations on your self-restraint. (I swore never to acquire a stash, but there was this shop in Edmonds that had practically every colour of Malabrigo....)

Good to have everything organised, you say? Hmm, I expect The Smalls is not going to stay organised for long:).
