The other day, I had something in mind to do with some stuff ... man, if I only had some of those old fashioned paper grocery bags, that would be perfect. (We have been a bring your own bag or pay city for a bunch of years now.) Then I got the Amazon delivery the other day. My order was about 3 bags worth but they used 7 bags so that even when one was ruined by all the broken eggs, I still now have 6 paper grocery bags.

And I cannot for the life of me remember what I wanted them for. I've been working on it for two days and nada. But, now I feel compelled to save them for whatever it is in case the thought comes back to me.

A year ago, I started cutting my own hair. Appointments are a breeze to get and I don't have to explain how my day is going or reveal my great plans for the weekend. And the price is sensational. But, I have had some major OhFucks along the way. Yesterday, was actually the first time I successfully cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it without a single OhFuck. Win!

The cats spent a lot of last night chasing each other and running up and town the hallway. They did a lot of the same this morning and now they have both crashed. The Smalls is here next to me and Biggie's on the top of the cat tree.

Apropos of nothing, in a restaurant, I am the first to snicker and throw shade on those who pick up their phones to take a picture before they pick up their forks. While I am also ever so grateful for those same people who post their meal shots on Instagram. I've found several great new restaurants/dishes because they took the time to share even while I was looking down my nose at them. Life in 2020.

I need a trip to the cat food store in the next two or three days. I might go today. I might put it off. I need to break out of this inertia. But, it might not happen today. I'm out of good lunch food but I just remembered I have bread, peanut butter, jelly, cream cheese and chips. I'm good.

RE: taking food pics, should you ever decide to venture over to the dark side, I'll love you more for it if you post the pics and I will forget that you ever judged others for it.

I won't hold my breath but I believe in miracles!

I have so rarely taken pics of my food because ... I FORGET! I'm so happy to get my food, and hungry, that I dig in, then realize that --- ooops -- didn't do it.

My supermarket used to deliver in plastic bags, but now they're gone they deliver in paper bags but they charge a $1 flat fee for them. What a ripoff.

We've written about New York's bag law a few times since last summer, and Wegmans (big northeast supermarket chain) told us they would be using paper bags for delivery orders and would not charge for them, because the customer doesn't have the opportunity to bring in reusable bags. Of course all of the marketing for Instacart and Shippd and the other third-party delivery services makes it look like you're getting your order in fancy branded canvas bags, and you're not.

As for the paper bags, I save the clean ones to use for tossing chicken pieces in flour, salt, and pepper when I'm going to make fried chicken. Nice to have a reliable supply of those again!

I was recently at a restaurant so I could write a review and had to set up and take photos of my friend's dish, then my own. The server came back to ask how everything was and I had to tell her I took so many pictures that I hadn't had a bite yet.
