My A1C test is back already and my percentage is lower than last year's!! Well under the diabetes line. Woot woot!

I think I'll have a cookie to celebrate!

It’s that daily exercise, girl! Getting a normal A1C at our age is like hitting the lottery.

Mine has been slightly below the border the last two years. After the first one, I did cut back on my carbs (not by as much as the recommendation, I'm pretty sure), and when I got the most recent numbers (in October) they were lower than what I thought I remembered from the previous year, but apparently I misremembered and they were exactly the same. (Well, at least not higher, right?)

I did lose some 10-15 pounds during that year, which is what led to a variety of tests to see if this was the result of some pathology (apparently not), but seems hard to account for by the minor changes in diet. My doctor said sometimes people's bodies adjust to changes in metabolism.

I definitely don't get enough exercise, and now, with all the dance series in suspension, even less. I need to get out and take walks, especially as other reasons to go out have all disappeared.
