"Don't let him run or jump or be around other cats for the first week." Said the vet-who-has-never-met-a-real-cat. Just like last time. But this one wasn't the great surgeon who saw him, diagnosed and did the surgery. This guy was just the night shift so I nodded and smiled and said sure!

We have the same drugs. And the cone. They did do stitches but inside stitches that dissolve on their own and glued the skin back together.

Last time I picked him up 12 hours after surgery and he was sobered up by then. Tonight he's still out of it. But, he did get himself out of the carrier right away and staggered right into the litter box.

Now he's just sitting in the hallway wondering WTF happened???

But he's home. So yeah!

He looks like an adorable little escaped Pixar lamp gone bad. Here's to a smooth recovery and total reform on the "I eat dumb shit" front.

He does look so sweet and innocent with his little cone. Glad he is home. Sorry for your pocketbook.

Dammit, Biggie, this is not funny! The cone look is cute and dorky, but not worth it.

Biggie, you little bozo! Not everything that fits in your mouth is food!

One of my outdoor feral cats once ate a shoe string. I didn't know this until he started passing it, and I saw it hanging halfway out of his rear end. Cats!

Glad he is home - hopefully, one day, he will realise he is not a waste disposal unit!

Somehow, he looks smaller in that cone. I'm glad the vet was able to help him and that he's safely home. Good luck keeping him going without further need of bodily excavations.

I used to be a vet's assistant and what kind of a dumb fool vet says something like that?

Poor little baby Biggie.

With that cone, it's a good thing he is still out of it.
