The governor extended our sentence til May 4. Ugh. That seems so far away.

I actually do trust him. I'm grateful to live in a state with leadership that is making the hard decisions.

I probably have it easier than anyone else in this state. My income is is not affected. This is costing me very little in cash or, really, anything else. I have lots of practice staying inside by myself.

It could be so much worse for me. I miss swimming. I actually had to clean my own toilet. It sparkles now! I'm not sure how I'm going to get groceries but, I really don't need any yet. I even have cat food coming on the 10th from my Amazon Subscribe and Save.

So really no big deal. Heck by the time May 4 gets here, maybe i won't even want to leave the house.

I've been going out every few days, wearing a reused N95 face mask before I go into any store, then spraying inside and out with peroxide when I'm done for the day. Also have sanitizer in my pants pocket and in the car, and always wipe handles and baskets of shopping carts if wipes or spray provided - if not I just coat hands with sanitizer and grab the handle. If I absentmindedly touch my face, I give it a little sanitizer dab.

Have seen one guy wearing gloves getting into passenger seat after loading groceries, but there's not much point in gloves if they become contaminated from the cart handle, then contaminate everything else by touching his grocery selection, his pants pocket and wallet, car door handle and car interior, and so on.

I thought I was going overboard (got amused glances about my mask), but other folk take extra care with how and what clothes and shoes they wear.

Sorry about your pool.

In many ways I'm like you, Pollyanna! Since moving here I haven't made any local friends. My evenings and weekends for the past 14 months weren't any different than my 24-hours-a-day are now. I'm glad to know your income isn't affected (I assume you have a pension?). You've got a lovely home with the best possible room mates and sewing to keep you busy.

I just made my way backwards through my inbox. I'm really glad I read your most recent post on The Smalls instead of the first one, because I would have been sad and worried. Knowing he had a good day today, at least part of the day, cheers me.

Ours is June 10th. I don't understand the rationale; we've had far fewer cases than Washington has, for example. But it's 10 weeks. Well, 9 weeks 5 days.

You've had far fewer cases? Then keep it that way! Growth is exponential, one person on average infects three others, by isolating you can bring that down to less than one other person and the infection rates start to quickly drop as the disease gradually dies out.

The UK has a different reason - apparently our fearless leaders are trying to keep the health system under the "we can't cope" threshold unlike what has happened in other parts of Europe and the USA. Thus far it appears to be working.

Hang in there, you definitely don't want a respiratory infection!

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be glad I was on disability.
My best friend said on the phone last night that people on disability are supposed to be getting some extra $$$$ from the govt but I hadn't heard anything about that, all I heard was that people with kids and people who were forced to miss work are getting extra money.
