I've gained about 15 pounds since March. My eating hasn't changed much if any but no swimming is taking its toll. In my head I am appalled and feel like I should fix a snack and sit down and think about it. Swimming would be an easy fix but it will be months before it's even an option. Months means 15 more pounds. I should change my eating and I should get more exercise. And neither is the least bit interesting to me.

I'm going to have to get up close and personal with the treadmill. That's just the only option that appears realistic. I need to figure out a scheme that will net me the required movement in a schedule that I will not abandon. Fortunately, I've gotten into the lovely habit of listening to my book while I walk in the mornings so that will be easy to translate to the treadmill and may help with the project.

Today I will get on that sucker at least two times for at least 5 minutes each. And one of those times must be after 3 pm.

They added photos to the listing for the unit below me. Interesting to see my home in white and beige. The bones are the same but there are some differences. They have built in air conditioning. I have looked at this a couple of times but, the show stopper for me is that butt ugly compressor out on the terrace. They also have made a proper room (walls, french doors) out of the room I use for my sewing room. Those french doors are lovely but it means that half the room must remain empty so you can get the damn things open. It's a tiny room to start with.

The rest is paint and wood trim. Interesting to see. It will also be interesting to see what it sells for and how fast. I linked photo to the real estate listing.

The yarn project continues today and I have one project in mind that will be so much more fun because of it. It's a sampler shawl. Instead of digging through the boxes of yarn for each row, I'll just be able to walk over to the shelf and pluck off a perfect suspect. Lather, rinse, repeat. Very cool.

I've got several deliveries arriving today from Amazon. Most are for me but Biggie gets a new litter box. The last new litter box is just too shallow. Even with the rim, he flings that stuff everywhere. Fortunately, he's fine with cheap litter boxes and the current one can be easily converted into a catch all for under the bathroom sink (after I wash it out, of course).

Ok, time to get dressed and get on with the day. Maybe even get the first 5 minute treadmill walk in.

I have gained about 12. And it is all chocolate. And the lack of my electric gym. I am so glad it has started again and I am trying to stay off the choc for a while, hoping to manage to get some of it off again...

I'm bummed because I can't get the Zillow link to work, but I already know that I like your place better.....COLOR!!!!!!!

I've gained about 10 pounds since March. Goodness.

Oh, thanks! Yep, that worked. And I definitely like Susan's place MUCH better. So many shades of white make me feel bored. Haha

It looked as if all the photos were taken with black and white film!

It looks as if it has been 'dressed' by one of those house-selling experts who used to turn up on TV about 10 years ago - take out all the colour, take out all your knick-knacks, accentuate the amount of space... I mean who actually has a kitchen where there is nothing but a knife-block on the benchtop/counter?

As person who uses Zillow and Realtor.com somewhat recreationally, I do have to say that the professionally staged photos are still preferable the ones where people take random photos of their shower curtain, bed, laundry piles, and kitchen counters two feet deep in crusty leftovers and nasty skillets.

Because that definitely happens.

Except for the outside photos, it's almost as if these photos are black and white, they're so devoid of color. There's barely a pop of color in the accessories. It's all so muted. I prefer your place!

I have not gotten on a scale. Not sure I want to know.... "The Covid 10"

Oh my god. I looked at the real estate listing. I love that they have not one, but two pictures to show off the "tree that you hate".

I seem to be missing my scale. Anyone who finds it can keep it. I have clothes that fit and I'm not fully a weeble yet.

Very creative spacial photography makes the place look a lot larger.

But, no fish. Why bother.

One thing that helps me get in a chunk of time on my exercise bike is to watch a show. I go for thirty minutes, so, say, one episode of something fluffy. It's a distraction from doing something I don't particularly enjoy, and when the episode is done, I'm done.

Do you keep track of how many calories you burn while swimming? I was always curious how much it burns.

I'm sure it's pretty great for you either way since your whole body is working. Good luck on the treadmill!

I do not like your downstairs neighbor's style of decorating. It is cold, impersonal and unwelcoming. It speaks of a dull, boring life, lived in rigid conformity, where art and creativity are not welcome.

Your condo is pretty much the opposite in every way.

I like your house better. Which is obvious I because I am inherently color-hungry so of course I would, but I’m just saying it to be clear. It is satisfying to see how much of an improvement color really makes, by this comparison.

I love the specific mention of "woodsy foliage" in the listing! I often wonder whether that "real estate lens" is as good an idea as it seems. Surely people are massively disappointed when they turn up to the actual property and it's smaller than it looked in the photo.

i gained weight too but I don't know how much, I can't get as much exercise as I normally get because the pool and mini gym at my apt bldg are closed and I can't go on long walks as much as I used to, plus I don't have the sources for salad bars, etc. that I had before. shrug

I always think its funny when real estate listings include photos of what's nearby. And here not only the Public Market sign but a photo of some fruit at the market! LOL.

That has got to be the most boring, depressing place ever to live. There’s no color to it. It doesn’t even look like anyone lives there on a regular basis. You could have taught them a thing or two about decorating!
