Look! A new window dressing is in the making!

IMG_20200527_062620

On the one hand, YEAH!! On the other hand, clearly, these folks do not intend to reopen any time soon.

Stay tuned for updates.

Today is yet another housecleaner day with no housecleaner. Maybe in 2 weeks but I'm not counting on that. I put her pay in an envelope and tape it to my door and she picks it up when she comes to clean the unit of the people across the hallway. They are young and, I guess, unconcerned. I'm fine with that. Makes it easier for me to get her her money.

No big plans today. I'm working on a grocery pickup list but I don't really need anything right now and so I'm just listing. My Dinerly delivery is supposed to be today but I haven't received any shipment notice. I'm cool either way.

I may do some more organizing and I may just leave it for a day. I absolutely will be treadmilling because 1. it's helping my stamina and 2. i'm at a really interesting place in my audio book.

I'm listening to Rodham which is a fiction based on Hilary who did not marry Bill Clinton. It's a very well told story and I have to keep reminding myself it is fiction. It is a good tale for sure.

My mom is all upset because she's not paying her housekeeper during this (dad lost half a lung to cancer and has COPD so they are in serious lockdown) and she's afraid the housekeeper won't come back.

That book sounds amazing

I just read "Eligible" by Curtis Sittenfeld (the author who wrote "Rodham") It is a modern day retelling of "Pride and Prejudice", and I really loved it---cheered me out of the 'rona blues :)

Ontrac really does a good job of setting the low bar.

It will be neat to see what they do with that window.

I didn't let my house cleaner come for awhile, I just didn't feel great about it, but she wouldn't let me pay her. David has her clean his house too and he let her come back a few weeks ago (he couldn't stand his own mess anymore lol). He mentioned she's struggling because several of her clients put things on hold, so I texted her and today will be her first day back at my house since we went into hunker down mode. I'll admit part of me is still a bit leery of it, I haven't had anyone in my house except David (and my brother, who's staying with me).

I've heard good things about that book.
