This new gym ... My plan was to join and swim until LA Fitness opened back up. LA Fitness costs me nothing thanks to old people insurance.

But, this place is so classy and so nice and so good. Today I was checking accounts and discovered that they had charged me for 13 swims when it should be only 12. (They had warned me that there was a glitch in the system and I might want to keep an eye on it.) So I sent an email to the woman who signed me up and asked who I could contact about the extra session.

I sent the email at 4 today. Saturday. It is now 7:30 on Saturday and I just got the nicest note from the woman who is in charge of the swim schedule and billing. She confirmed the extra charge and offered a refund or did I just want to apply it to the next swim I scheduled?

Maybe LA Fitness, might be my backup pool.

I keep meaning to ask - is it a deeper pool than your previous one? I know it's not strictly necessary, but deep water is so nice...

nope, a lap pool. 4 feet.

Oh well, never mind, I guess it's all the same once you start swimming.

I do love the rush of jumping off the deck and going down down down before the first lap but, honestly, that's the only thing I miss. On the up side, a 4 foot deep pool really keeps it adults only.
