I'm breathing much better today. That's the good news. The bad news is that my breathing better today means the culprit is probably the pool. I'll go again on Monday to test. I sure don't want to quit swimming again. But breathing is so nice.

And, speaking of nice, I love that my lung doctor has a nurse practitioner. He got her about two years ago and it makes dealing with his office so much easier. He's great but busy. She's great and responsive! I sent an email this morning asking for a new inhaler prescription. My send button was not even cold before I got a reply asking if I wanted 1 with refills or a 3 (90 day supply). I have two inhalers now. One expired in December and one expired in 2017. I think it's time for new. Costco is already showing they are filling it. But I think I'll wait until next week - old people hour - go to get.

Half of my packages have arrived safe and sound. Three more to go.

I use my dishwasher to store plastic bags/wrap/foil, etc. I've been stuffing bread bags and other bags into the top tray since forever and it was bursting at the seams. I can't stand to throw out perfectly good bread bags but I also have no use for them. Ditto small brown paper bags of which I also have an amazing supply of - used. Make that had. Today I pulled everything out of that top tray and tossed most of it out. Now I can actually find shit. Note to self, we do NOT need any more plastic wrap. What's in there now is a lifetime supply for someone 71 years old already.

Also I got a case for the new phone which won't even be here for two more weeks. I always get a case - a cheap plastic one - before I get the phone. Since I resell the phones, they need to be in pristine shape when I'm done with them. So case. I'm ready.

So sad about the pool:(. I'm sure you've already done all this research already, but I did find a saltwater pool at a Gold's Gym in Redmond. Google said it was twenty minutes away, although that was in the middle of the Seattle night and adding in Seattle traffic probably makes the travel time around three years.

Acvording to Google 425 say swimming is currently open, but that's not a lot of use if it's too far. I quailed looking at the map and I've only driven in Seattle for a few days. My googlefu definitely let me down about the Pike Place one, but it's greatly weakened when I'm on my phone, and currently I have no PC access as I'm pinned down by a cat.

I was going to say take the bread bags to the grocery store for recycling, then I remembered how rarely you go to the grocery store.

All the recycling drop off sites have signs all over saying NO PLASTIC BAGS!!!!! which people still ignore. They muck up the machines at the recycling facility. Most of the grocery stores have bins near the entrance for bags.

CA has nearly outlawed plastic bags, or else charges for them. Yet, there's nowhere to recycle the ones you manage to get. They are also really inconsistent with what you can or can't recycle. My mom insisted that you could recycle grocery bags, so I tried looking up the guidelines. They varied by city! Holy crap. So basically they put everything in the recycle can. I have no idea if it actually gets recycled.

Around here (eastern MA), most supermarkets have recycling bins specifically for plastic bags (I have no idea what they actually do with them). Since our daily newspaper comes in a plastic bag – two of them if there has been or might be rain – we accumulate them at a great rate, so it's nice to have somewhere to take them.

I've had issues with the pool bothering my asthma in the past, but it wasn't particularly consistent, so I thought maybe it was when the concentration was higher than normal.

I used to save bread bags and on day I realized I hadn't used a single one for anything and I said forget it and stopped saving them.

I like phone cases that have a cover, that's what I'm always looking for when I get a new phone.

I hope you can still swim, darn it.

It's nice to have such responsive medical professionals. That happens so rarely (in my experience).

I'm going to have to tell David what you do with your dishwasher. He teases me about the fact that I use mine to actually wash dishes. He's lived in his house for 2 1/2 years and hasn't used his once. I don't think he uses it for storage though, I'm going to ask!

Bread bags, I had several relatives who used to save those and they were used for different things. For example, when we were kids and would get ready to go out sledding or playing in the snow, they'd have us put bread bags on over our socks before putting our boots on and then tie or tape them around our legs so that when snow inevitably got into our boots, our feet would stay dry. My aunt would use them in place of Ziplocs to put sandwiches in. She had this particular way of folding the bag around them and then she'd tie a knot in it, it worked pretty slick as long as she didn't tie the knot so tight my uncle couldn't get it undone without cutting it open. If that happened he'd get in trouble for ruining the bread bag. lol

Ha! I saw this comment and it made me laugh, then made me wonder why he would leave it empty! So I asked and found out the reason is because the house cleaner has a tendency to turn it on while she's there. If he has dirty dishes in the sink, she throws them in the dishwasher. He's afraid she'll ruin anything he would store inside it. lol

I'll hang onto him for now. lol It's such a waste! I told him he should just take the dishwasher out and put in shelves or something if he's never going to use it, but he's been debating buying a different house and people love dishwashers, so he won't get rid of it just yet. As for the note, I don't have a clue why he doesn't do it. I'm guessing he doesn't want to risk disturbing his house cleaner's way of doing things.

I used to save bread bags with the idea that I'd make those crocheted tote bags or rugs out of them ... I ended up with tons of bags and never made a single rug or tote bag so I did what you did after a few years had dragged by ... recycle. *lol*
I am buried under plastic grocery bags right now because the deliveries all come in plastic. I've been using them for when I scoop out the litter box mostly, still way too many left though. 😂

I keep grated cheese (I grate it myself, I don't buy the grated stuff) in the freezer in bread bags.
