When the clock said 7:30 this morning, I hustled my ass out the door for Trader Joe's old people hour. The last time I went to Trader Joe's, I got attitude and not in a good way plus no fun music. So today I tried a different one.

I think this was the original Seattle Trader Joe's. But they moved it over a few blocks. It's lovely and huge and full of the nicest staff people and they were playing Jimmy Buffet. Color me happy. I had a list and it was short and I was out of there.

There's a Safeway next door so that's where I went to get the rest of my short list. And now I'm home. I got some iced tea and then got lost on the internet. ooops.

Random stuff:

Fitbit went with no exercise today. It recorded the steps which is all I care about but decided against assigning it skiing or jujitzu.

When I got in the car to come home, I said ok google, navigate home. It immediately did! It used to all the time. But for the past few years, it has either not responded at all or offered up some version of 'which home do you want? I found four nearby' or even worse. But, today, it launched right into the way home. On the down side, it picked the most convoluted and expensive (toll) route possible. baby steps.

I am hooked on Trader Joe's cold brew tea. For iced tea drinking. I cannot replicate it. So I buy it. It has a fairly long shelf life so I stocked up today. But, honestly, November isn't that far off.

I read that there might be a Dr. Pepper shortage so I am hoarding. If you need a hit of the diet, I can hook you up.

Bathfitters is not being very cooperative. Christian says they are ignoring his requests for a call back. He suggested I try so I did. I sent email yesterday. Nada. I called this morning and finally got a human who said she was out yesterday. SO lame. But she promises to call him. She's lucky she's not dealing with me.

I think I'm going to make an individual breakfast fritata today. I love a good fritata but I never thought about making single serving ones. They need to sit in the fridge overnight. So I'll make one today and then maybe more tomorrow.

We have another heat advisory for the weekend. I'll be right here with my air conditioner. Oh so grateful.

I've never been to a Trader Joe's, I'd like to see one some day. I keep hearing about this Dr. Pepper shortage. Not cool! Although I can't say I've noticed it being a problem yet. I haven't been in stores a lot but I've seen plenty of it at Target and Costco. I don't drink pop much anymore but when I do, I drink Dr. Pepper or Diet Dr. Pepper. Hoard that stuff! lol

I hope Bathfitters gets on the ball. You'd think they would want the business.

Ugh. Sounds like Bathfitters is just as annoying over there. They were a pita to get a hold of here too. They did work on our bathrooms here and we were not fully impressed really. I mean, to be fair It did look really nice, and we were initially super pleased.
But discovered after the fact that the guy did subpar caulking around the tub so that failed pretty quickly and he had to come back to fix it (and I still had to do some myself months later). And on top of that, the wall panel of the shower enclosure didn't get enough adhesive or something, and after a few months it came unstuck a bit near the center. Not a lot, but for the cost it was hugely annoying to have it do that in the first place.

You'd probably just have to make sure they don't skimp on the adhesives and caulking and all should turn out well though. The end product looked beautiful, we just should have poked at the guy a few times about things as he progressed to make sure he wasn't skimping I think.

Trader Joe permanently discontinued their cinnamon vanilla tea. I was pissed.

My school district runs on love and Dr. Pepper. Love is, thankfully, not in short supply, but we are gonna be in a world of hurt if the DP gets scarce.

Diet Dr Pepper?

My niece is Texas is totally addicted. As in, it would be the end of the world as she knows it if she couldn’t get it. Where did you hear about the possible supply problem, please?

(actually, my niece is a complete PIA, so telling her about a potential shortage would give me the giggles...)

If there wasn't a DP shortage there probably is one now.

We drink endless decaf ice tea with a little sugar in it. Pitcher on the counter and we go through one a day. Fortunately TJ is not convenient or I'd be buying more expensive tea. I've got enough of a problem with expensive coffee beans.

I drink Diet Dr Pepper and it took about 3 weeks to find cans on the shelves. Employee said that the company was having trouble getting ingredients, so they were only making the drink in bottles. But I found 3 cases of can the other day so took them.

I really wish we had AC. One day maybe.

Hello there from left field. I just had my first Premier Protein cafe latte beverage. This will be my daily caffeine hit for the rest of the hot weather season. It's pretty good for something that has artificial sweetener.
