Best Buy opens at 10. I got the text that my order was ready for pickup at 9:15. I was worried they would wait until late in the day. Useless worries. The drive down there was stress free. It's in a gynormous shopping area. One mall surrounded by maybe 25 or 30 strip malls of 5-10 stores each. I was actually kind of surprised at the activity. On a pre-covid Saturday morning, it would be packed which it was not but there were still stores open and people shopping - ish.

I pulled into Best Buy - a nice, shady spot and texted them that I was there. It was a great place to kill some time but Best Buy wasn't interested. Dude popped out with my watch. No useless bag or receipt or any other stuff I didn't want or need. Nice. Actually, the whole experience was pretty stellar. May have to change my Best Buy thinking.

And then I got a note that my Amazon deliveries had just been made. What the What? Saturday Amazon deliveries never get there before 5 pm. So I came on home and hauled the boxes of pantry containers up and just unpacked them all, filled them all and took the old ones right down to the dumpster. I had just exactly enough to replace my old ones but I have more coming because I have more room now on the pantry shelves and more stuff to put in them. Coming tomorrow and Monday.

Then I played with my new watch. It's actually neater than I expected. Turns out it tracks way more swim details than my old one. Not that I can use that right now but maybe one day. It's pretty and it tracks a butt load of stuff. Also the watch band swapping situation is very much improved as is the charging. I'm not at all unhappy with the purchase.

So I went ahead and listed my Versa 2 on Swappa. Be cool if it sold. Be ok if it didn't.

Now I'm watching the Mariners winning game one.

Really, just a nice, nice day.

Oohh, did you get the new Fitbit Sense? I just preordered that one a few weeks back, and it's (slowly) on its way here finally.

Omg, I am so excited.

I have the Inspire right now, and it doesn't always like to charge every time I hook it to the charge cable. Plus wearing it on my ankle has proven more difficult when they swell up sometimes in the evenings lately.😂
time to go back to watch format for this lady. It helps that the Sense features look reeeeaaaly neat

We are getting a lot of the order and we will load it into your car options here in Sweden now. We are actually going to go fetch a new circular saw stand for Ray on Thursday when we go to get his new reading glasses. You order and pay on-line, give them your phone and car licence plate. When you get there, park in a special area, send them a text with your licence plate number and out they will come with a cart, you pop the trunk, they load it and off you go. We don't have a tremendously bad Covid rate around here, but it is good to have the safe options.

Now I'm watching the Mariners winning game one.

I see the Mariners didn't leave anything to chance in that 8th inning. (I've seen the Red Sox lose all four of their extra-inning games, including the latest one Friday night, when they scored 2 in the top of the 10th only to have Atlanta tie it up, and then the Sox got one more in the 11th but Atlanta got 2 to win.)

By the way, how do you feel about the new extra-inning rule? I hate it, and I think I'd still hate it even if the Sox had won all of those games.

I was dubious about the 7-inning rule, but I'm not sure how I really feel (the Sox have had only one or two double-headers this year). It probably makes sense for this year, when pitchers are already under more stress than usual, to try to avoid having to use too many of them in one day. And it might be nice for some of those late nights to not be quite so late.

But the runner-on-second thing just isn't baseball.

But which of the fast food options did you pick?! I'd have gone for Popeyes. Really wish we had one here.

I've generally done pretty well when I need something at Best Buy. Bought my new Apple Watch there last fall because they had it in stock, and they had a fantastic three-way wireless charging pad that, because I was buying the Watch at the same time, I got a kinda ridiculous discount on. It can charge my iPhone, my AirPods case, and my Watch all at the same time, and the only wire involved is the one connecting the pad to the outlet. I sure do not miss having to plug in every damn thing!

I won't tell a soul! I love their chicken egg and cheese breakfast biscuits, which aren't on the menu but are so obvious that I ordered one without knowing I wasn't supposed to know I could.
