It's the first Sunday without baseball. Even if I could get the channels and cared about post season play, it is still a no baseball Sunday. MLB won't schedule if it might interfere with the almighty NFL. To me, it's the official, no-more-baseball-til-February-and-maybe-not-then-either day.

And no fall TV to speak of. I do have lots of excellent streaming options. I do seem to spend a lot of time watching the first 15/30 mins and then moving on. I think this is a factor of Too Many Choices. So not really a bad thing.

The blanket I am crocheting is coming along nicely. This may well be the one project this year that I finish all in one go.

So that's really today. Crochet and, probably, British cop shows. Oh and I have the newspaper to read. Still so weird reading an actual newspaper printed on actual newsprint.

My achillies tendinitis is way way way much better. So the answer is wearing the brace for a few hours every day and ice. Good to know. Also wearing those godawful shoes that I paid way too much for and never wore. They, apparently, love my feet on the treadmill which is a nice happenstance.

So lovely quiet day ahead.

My sympathies to you on the tendinitis. Had it up the front of both shins ages ago and I was told to wear flats; owing to a different problem (in the foot) I almost always wear flats, anyway. Later, had it in both knees because of a "hook" which had formed at the top of the tibia and which was cutting into the tendon every time I flexed my knee; as I was doing a high-stepping style of folk dance at the time, the flexing was frequent and the pain was enough for me to cry myself to sleep on two occasions and to wake me up close to vomiting from it on another. At that point, I was given two options by an orthopaedist: modify the dance step, OR we can go in there, make a slit in the tendon and just slice that oddly shaped bit of bone off. It's an easy operation, the orthopaedist assured me. Went with modifying the step, since this was social and not competitive dance.
Sorry for talking about my own experiences, it's just that I do know how much an inflamed or injured tendon can hurt.

I'm so, so looking forward to seeing this blanket when it is finished! Well, let me amend that statement: so, so looking forward to seeing a photo of this blanket when the blanket is finished.

I agree on the "too many choices", I usually end up watching some old rerun of something or other! And happy to hear your tendinitis is getting better.. !

Well, not strictly true, since there is baseball tonight (and, theoretically, two football games, although I won't be astonished if the already-postponed Patriots-Chiefs game doesn't happen tonight either). And I think the ALCS starts next Sunday.
