Oh so frivolous but joyous retail therapy

One of the things I've bought recently (actually yesterday) arrived just now and it's amazing!

I wanted to try a low calorie hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate but it's one of the few things I sometimes deny myself because of calories. It just doesn't seem calorie worthy sometimes. So yesterday I searched again and found that Nestles now has a low cal mix.




It's not perfect. It's maybe as good as any mix+water, though. And it does the trick for me as a sweet, hot drink that's easy. How easy?

I also bought this mug.



You slap two batteries in the bottom and it whirls your mix and water into perfection.

And it's cracking me up.

My grandmother had cereal bowls with animals on the bottom that you could only see when you ate all your cereal. I thought those were the bomb. These mugs would have blown my tiny mind.

Hills Brothers has a sugar free French vanilla cappuccino that's pretty good. I think it's about 50 calories per serving.

I also love that Hot Chocolate but I add a packet or 2 of artificial sweetner and some artificial creamer. Taste as good as the real stuff!

Artificial creamer is exactly what it needs!!! It's sweet enough for me but I really wanted to add cream which seems a bit counter productive... but your solution is perfect. Thank you!

I was thinking that the self-stirring mug was a product that really doesn't need to exist – there's an alarming trend toward not making/letting people do simple things for themselves – but I suppose for someone with certain disabilities it might be a life-saver.
