I'm sipping my chocolate from my SELF STIRRING MUG and it's cracking me up. In college, I learned to drink coffee as it came out of the pot. Black with no sweetener. I was just to lazy to futz with anything other than filling the cup. As the years have gone by, I have appreciated this over and over again. I don't have to worry about what kind of sweetener is available or if there is milk in the house. Grabbing coffee is just, fill 'er up and drink, easy peasy.

So stirring stuff in a mug is not something familiar to begin with. Pushing a button and hearing the whirrrrrrrr delights me. It's the little things.

In a bit, I'm going in and test out my new shower stickers. I also have a new bar of lavender soap to use.

Great start to the week.

Amazon Video has some cool deals right now. $.99 a month for two months of a bunch of premium channels. I just got Sundance Now. There's never been enough there to warrant signing up but, heck a buck a month til nearly Christmas? I'm in. Also there's now a note on my calendar on December 12 to remind me to cancel.

I finished watch Van Der Walk last night. It was good but weird. 3 episodes. There was a bit of arc over the 3 episodes but not much. It was like an entire season of a copy show but the whole season was only 3 episodes. Weird. Not enough time to flush out the best characters.

It's a chilly and rainy day - perfect for snuggling under the afghan that I am on the last few rounds of and watching TV. Turns out, that highlights my skill set!

---------

Ok, shower had and it was glorious Those little stickers are the bomb. I dried off the shower floor when I got out and as soon as I hit Post on this entry, I'm going to go in and put a bunch more down. Wish I had a giant sheet of that stuff. That would be the best. But these stickers are actually fine. Yeah!!

Also the lavender and shea butter soap recommended by my soap and shampoo guru [livejournal.com profile] bill_schubert is really nice. The bar is huge. I'm pretty sure, at my age, it's a lifetime supply. And it lathers nicely, the scent is great and even gives the bathroom a nice smell.

So, win win win.

Glad for you about the lovely soap and its nice fragrance, but more glad that you've got a firm, non-slippy footing under you in the shower! Nothing quite like having to worry about staying on your feet....

A self-stirring mug?! I love it! I used to use a ton of creamer, then I backed off it. Now I use a bit of half & half. I only use flavored creamer if I happen to see one that sounds good to try, but inevitably I use it a couple of times and don't use much of the whole bottle before it expires and needs to be tossed.

I'll have to check out that Amazon deal.

I love fancy soaps, I have gardenia and lily soap and I like the smell of lavender a lot. I can't use shea butter though, I should not use any moisturizer because I have very oily skin.

I drink black unfettered coffee when I'm at work. Somehow it puts me in the right mindset for being productive. Milk and sweetener is for when I'm home.

I was wondering what kind of thing i would like to stir automatically, since i drink both coffee and tea black. If i'm forced to drink instant coffee, i suppose that's a time that an automatic stirrer would be useful. But perhaps the most useful automatic stirrer that i can think of would be for noodles.

Because i am hopelessly lazy and do not ever cook noodles on the stove, i buy the skinniest Asian noodles and put them in the bowl i will put the food on top of, then pour hot water on them and wait. Eventually i drain them. But you need to intermittently jiggle the noodles to make sure they soak down into the bowl and then stay separated.

I think it would be very funny to have an automatic noodle stirring bowl. Bonus points if little extensible chopsticks popped out of it like an old yuppie car aerial.

I remember the original Van Der Valk in the 70s, and I thought this one was a pretty inferior remake. The characters didn't come to life at all, and there was nothing Dutch about it but the setting.

The shower stickers must have caught one of the few planes from the US as they arrived really fast. Mum has stuck them in her shower now and they're so good! Thanks so much for mentioning them. During the Great Water Outage of 2020 I was showering at her place and I was horrified at how slippery the floor was with conditioner on it. She says she's relieved she won't be lying on the shower floor with a broken hip and, even worse, the shower still going and running up her electricity bill.
