Rabbit Hole
Oct. 19th, 2020 09:39 amMany many of my LJ friends this morning either have a clip of this video in their entry or a link to it. I normally skip all YouTube stuff just because life is too short and I'm already too old but when everyone is pointing to the same one, I give up.
It is so very clever and fun. Wear a fucking mask. And it's done so perfectly that, in an even less like me maneuver, I clicked on more videos by the artist. I ended up listening to several Christmas carols that were just lovely. I love vocals with no instruments or very quiet instruments where you can really hear the voices. Noah Lindquist is one talented dude. Lovely way to start the day.
Yesterday when I went to pull out a shirt from the closet, I noticed my supply of long sleeved shirts was kind of lame. I figured Goodwill got a load last spring. So I picked out some fabric from the stash and a pattern from the stack and decided to make some new ones today.
Last night, I dreamed that I found all of last year's shirts in the closet after I made the new ones. This morning, I looked and damned if there wasn't a stack of them right where they had been in the dream. I need to get some light in that closet.
I just interrupted this entry to get Amazon on that lighting situation. Fix will be here tomorrow. Thank you, Amazon.
So sewing today has been cancelled. I put the fabric back and the pattern away. I've got a different project in mind today.
My nephew in Iowa installed a Wyze cam pointing down his driveway and gave me and my brother permissions. We are watching it snow this morning. Not a blizzard but fun to watch anyway. I expect this will be a winter long treat.
Most grocery stores around here and a lot of restaurants offered up holiday meals for take out. BUT all of them were for a minimum of four people. Some six to eight. Last year, I found one that offered up Thanksgiving for two. And I ordered me up one. It turned out to be wonderful. $80 for a full Thanksgiving dinner - turkey, trimming, sides and even butter in the shape of a turkey. I had a marvelous dinner and leftovers for days. I froze some of the leftovers and enjoyed them for months. I'm sure, this year, there will be lots more variety for 2 or even 1. BUT, I'm banking on a sure thing and last night reserved my second annual Thanksgiving from Metropolitan Market. To be picked up Thanksgiving morning at 10.
They did not do anything like that for Christmas but I hope they will this year or someone else will.
Ok now I just started down more internet rabbit holes. Time to shower and get going on this day!
