I did my freezer cleanout. Quite cathartic. I've got a lot to eat before the end of November!

I took the sosorryyoucan'tstay in a bag down to the dumpster. When I got to the garage there was a couple - 40/50s driving up in a massive SUV unloading a massive brand new TV. Neither had on a mask.

He drove off and she stood there next to the TV looking on her phone. No mask in sight. When I got back from the dumpster, I gave her my evil eye. She got it but no mask.

I came upstairs wondering what I could have said to them that would convince them to wear a fucking mask. Then I found some very pleasant Please Wear A Mask. It's Sign Of Respect. signs and printed out a few. And may still post them on the bulletin board downstairs but still that's not going to convince those unconvinced.

Then I looked on Amazon. They had a pack of those paper pleated masks - 50 for $6 (with tax) - Prime so free shipping. They will be here tomorrow. I'm going to start carrying one or two in my pocket each time I go out.

Next time.

Yeah, there ain't none of us likes having to wear a chin diaper, but while this epidemic rages on, we all need to.

Wow, they have gone down in price! At the beginning of lockdowns, I saw 50 of the blue pleated masks on Prime for about 30 dollars! Production, production!!!
I wonder what sorts of responses you will get if you hand out the masks. Around here people are so ridiculous about it and so many refuse to wear them, actually getting in fights about it. I hope no one yells at you.

Around here people are being positively idiotic about mask-wearing, and rather aggressive about standing "on their rights," too.
I wear a mask if I'm going out in public, and give folks plenty of space and avoid confrontations. At least, so far.

Yeah, please be really careful. I honestly won't confront anyone around here, unless they are a store employee so I know darn well that they are mandated to wear a mask. But people just walking around? Not safe here.

Last time I asked a customer to please put her mask up on her face, not on her chin--mind you, politely motioning "up" while smiling with my eyes--she ripped me a new a-hole because THE MASK DOESN'T GO ON MY FACE WHEN I TALK. Then she proceeded to stop talking and didn't even bother putting the mask up. I wish my boss had been there, cause that crap would have gotten her kicked out. We have a sign behind the cash registers on the wall that says abuse of employees regarding ANY of the policies (store- or state-mandated) will not be tolerated.

After hearing the other horror stories of people being physically attacked/shot/killed, I will not tell someone they should be considerate of others and follow the law. As long as I keep my mask on, and wear it properly, I'm at way lower risk of catching the stupid than they are, so I'll be okay.

This mask/distancing thing is getting ridiculous!

A business acquaintance of ours just got out of the hospital, after being stabbed 11 times. Because he asked someone to not stand so close in a line up. Damage to several major organs, almost bled out....

Granted, it was at a bar, which he had no business being at, but still.....life threatening injuries over a simple request. How did this all turn so stupid?
