The pandemic news is scaring me. More and more cases here in Seattle and, I heard on the national news last night that the wave currently in the east and midwest is headed this way. ??? I was careful yesterday but I was around people and closer than 6 feet.

I'm re-thinking the whole swim thing set for next week. But, I've decided to put the swim worry on hold. I can make that decision on Monday at 11. (I've been watching the reservations and people are not snapping them up so I won't be squeezing someone out of a swim and if I decide not to go, I'm only out $4.25.)

It may be a moot point. The governor just announced an address to the state this evening about the pandemic. Honestly, selfishly, I wish he'd just shut everything down. More likely he's just going to say wear a mask.

I'm not going anywhere. Well, I'm going to the other end of the house because that's where the washing machine is and it is laundry day. Then it will be crochet and TV.

I have about 10 more squares to go and then the edges.

So that's the action here today!

I find the numbers there terrifying. At least people are finally starting to talk about what needs to be done. What are your protocols for things like shopping? Our stores have mandatory mask rules, strict limits on the numbers in each store (with a staffer counting the number leaving before more rare allowed in) and larger stores have markings to ensure people go in only one direction along aisles and stand well apart while waiting for a cashier. People are directionally challenges on aisles, but we also have a lot of bad drivers and they are slowly getting better at following the rules. Stay safe!

Very wise choice!

The new wave is scaring me too, especially since people seem to be getting so relaxed about the protocols.

I picked up KFC through the drive-thru for lunch today and was totally dismayed that all of the four employees that I saw were using their masks to cover only their chins. I wanted to scold them but I just grabbed my purchase and took off. I've saved the receipt and I'll do their survey to snitch.

I hope you don’t see the cases we are, but with so many maskless morons out there, it is inevitable you will see an increase. Here in Wisconsin, we have seen a couple of weeks of 7000 plus cases every single day! It will be years before we see this under control.

I think it is a good idea to put the swimming on hold. You have your treadmill so exercise is available to you. Me, I throw on some music and dance / exercise that way. Doing it in my late 50’s is much different than in my younger years but it still makes me happy. 🙂

It is getting scary out there. I'm hearing that we have a few hospitals around here that are starting to defer patients.
