That's the sound of a chicken. I just called an canceled my swims for next week. I was spending too much time stressing over it. My treadmill and I are doing pretty good. I just don't think it's worth the risk.

Speaking of chicken, I have recently discovered the wonderfulness that is Popeye’s chicken tenders.

My Lord, where have they been all of my life? They’re even great cold from the refrigerator, and I detest cold fried chicken.

How do you freeze your Popeye’s for future consumption?

Heaven on earth. Popeye's.

All I do is cool them down to room temp so they aren't warm and then pop them into a zip lok bag and into the freezer.

I do like cold chicken so I usually just thaw them in the fridge and eat when no longer frozen BUT sometimes I like them hot and crispy. If frozen, I bake them at about 350 for about 20 mins but, quicker and more successfully, I thaw them and then pop them into the air fryer for 10 mins. So good.

I freeze them because the closest Popeye's is not close so I buy in bulk when I get there :)

I know. I'm hesitant to even visit my mom again for a while. At least I read in the Seattle Times that the CDC is now saying that wearing a mask, even a cloth mask, does protect the wearer some. That makes me feel better for the two or three customers a day that come into the bakery and have to be "reminded" to wear their mask. They do eventually put it on, but in the mean time they are breathing on the people I work with.

turns out they delayed the opening for a week so it was a moot point and then the governor shut them (and gyms, and a bunch of other stuff) for a month so really moot.

my goggles went back into the closet.
