I switched up the treadmill watching this morning. I watched the first episode of As Time Goes By. I'm amazed at how old it is both in time and in nuances. But, because I know the whole story, I'm also intrigued by revisiting the beginning. Honestly, I think all the early episodes are a setup for meeting Mrs. Bale who is really the star o the show.

All I really need is a diversion from the treadmill and it's lovely for that.

And speaking of diversions, this morning I found all of this season's Extra Slice episodes! Extra Slice is the show on Channel 4 after every episode of Bake Off. I'd actually forgotten about it since it's not generally available here in the US. But UKTVLAND on Reddit has all of them for this season so far. That's going to be fun.

Today is cut day. Hair and nails. My nails are growing like crazy and beyond a certain point they just get in the way. Cutting them is not a problem but then they end up with sharp edges and I hate filing so I don't do a good job and end up chasing snags for days so I wait until it's a crisis before cutting. And my hair is really ok except for the bottom back which needs a trim. Always dicey since I can't see back there. But, who cares? Who's going to even see?

The governor is on at 11. I do hope his new plan works.

I pulled some fried chicken out of the freezer yesterday. Lunch is going to be delicious.

I like the GBBO Holiday shows with Paul and Mary, have you seen those? It's too early to watch Xmas shows now but in a little over two weeks I'll start watching them.

I love as Time Goes By. All of the British shows......especially One Foot in The Grave, and Keeping Up Appearances, and Don’t Wait Up.

Don't forget Good Neighbours and Waiting For God. (Fawlty Towers is in a class by itself.)

I'm kind of the same way. I'll reach a stage of "I really need to trim my nails" but of course I'm in the middle of doing something else, and then when I'm no longer busy it slips through the cracks. When I eventually get around to doing it, I have to deal with those rough edges, which are surprisingly difficult to smooth out properly.
