I got all the electronics and tech settled down and operational. And... then my Fitbit update came in! Now I can answer phone calls on my wrist. It will be lovely to hang up on telemarkers from my arm.
One reason I got this particular Fitbit (the Sense) besides Shiny New Tech!! was for the health monitoring. Every night it checks from oxygen saturation levels and a bunch of other stuff. It's interesting to see but, more importantly, it's interesting to see the consistency. I don't really care what all the numbers are (I never get above 93% oxygen, for instance, which might otherwise be concerning). BUT should those numbers (breathing rate, heart rate variability, skin temp, resting heart rate, oxygen... vary greatly - especially all vary greatly at one time - then I should Be On The Lookout For An Event.
Also it has kind of a poor man's ECG. The other night, I felt something different and fired up the ECG app to learn my heart was playing fast and loose with its rhythm. It was really nice to know it was not my imagination.
I can also get PDF's of this info over time which I might just do next time I go to the doctor's.
Anyway now stuff is easier with the update. (Used to I had to set it up every night to catch the nums but now it will do it automagically) AND when you call, I can answer from my wrist.
I love shiny tech.
